Runwell Checker (NJS Chain Tool)

Whenever you see an NJS track chain fitted to a track bike, you would notice that the joining link is held with a flathead screw and a 6mm nut. Quite often people do not tighten the 6mm nut adequately and it comes loose resulting in an unsafe bike.
The idea is simple – tighten it before each race.
This tool is designed with a knurled edge handle to provide easy torque and control. The checker is used as a simple inspection tool for use before each race. It is also used by head mechanics in New Zealand and Denmark and will be seen at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
The checker is made from heat treated, hardened carbon steel and is designed to last a true lifetime.
