After 17 years in West End, QLD, we have moved to an online-only model, based in Adelaide (Direk), South Australia. YOUR AUSTRALIAN TRACK AND FIXED SPECIALIST

The market is small and most bike shops just don't care enough about track and fixed gear to make it work. For nearing on two decades, GEAR Shop Brisbane has specialised in the track and fixed market, bringing in all the best goodies from around the globe. By purchasing from us, you're supporting a small Aussie business, and not a large corporation controlled by an investment firm. You're support some people out there giving it a go, and trying to help the sport grow.

WHAT ABOUT ROAD AND GRAVEL?

We're still supporting it, however our primary focus is on the Track, Fixed gear and Single-speed community. We will continue to stock spares, sell bikes and do all the things we did before, we just want people to know that our focus has shifted.

A BIT ABOUT US?

Back in 2008, GEAR Started as an small retailer in West End, QLD focused on fashion. Erik's passion for bikes, clothing and bespoke goods grew GEAR until 2017. Eventually, we took on the lovely little retail space, regrettably closing the storefront in June 2025 before moving to South Australia. You can read more here...

WORKSHOP & SERVICING

Whilst our business is online only (for now), we offer servicing options for our customers in South Australia, by appointment only, covering everything from New Builds, Gluing Tyres, and Race Prep services. Some of these services can be provided at our warehouse or at your home, Contact us for more information.

TEAM & SUPPORT MECHANIC

Do you have a charity event coming up and you need a support mechanic? Are you a Team or Federation travelling abroad, or to Australia and looking for a skilled mechanic with an in depth understanding of UCI events? We can help, and have worked with AusCycling, Royal Dutch Cycling Union (Koninklijke Nederlandsche Wielren Unie aka KNWU), Cycling New Zealand, as well as assisting national riders domestically. We are so proud to have been able to support international elite riders from Czechia, Belgium, Russia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Canada, USA and many more.

We often get asked, "What are the best wheels you have?". Our answer is always the same, "It depends on what you need".

We are huge believers in Handbuilt wheels and offer competitive and efficient wheel-building services to help you get the perfect wheels for your ride...

CUSTOM BIKE BUILDS

If you're ordering a new Custom Track Bike or Frame, and don't want to assemble it yourself, we can save you the work by pre-assembling your bike in full prior to shipping. This service includes full frame prep (Cutting, Facing, Thread Cleaning etc) as well applying your bike fit data.
