One of the most common questions we receive at GEAR Shop Brisbane is "What nuts do I need?" If you know your brand and model of hub, we normally know off the top of our heads, however Mavic use M9 Front and Rear on their Ellipse wheels, where-as nearly every other global manufacturer uses M9 Front and M10 Rear. Campagnolo (and some Italian brands) use a hybrid metric and imperial mix with M9x26TPI and M10x26TPI on their axles.
HOW TO MEASURE THREADS
Measuring threads isn't difficult if you have a vernier caliper or a thread gauge. These two videos will give you a comprehensive understanding of how to use these respective tools correctly to identify your threads.

ADDITIONAL INFO
If you have 3/8" Imperial threads which measure approximately 9.5mm these will not work. You will need to stick with a generic 3/8" Nut. Still not sure? Contact us and we can help you!
