Van Dyke is doing something a little different today. He’s auctioning off his latest drawing on eBay with all proceeds going to a chimpanzee… Bubbles. This was created last night, after hearing of Michael Jackson’s passing. His love for chimpanzees made him sit down and draw this (while listening to Michael’s music, of course).
All proceeds go directly to supporting Bubbles. Michael Jackson owned Bubbles for years and now he lives in a sanctuary in Florida.
Bid now on eBay.
Some new pieces just came in.

Design by Denis Kennedy, “Cassettes”. Straight from that crusty shoebox in the back of the closet.

Design by Denis Kennedy, “Director’s cut”. Leaders of the old school… .

Design by Jeremy Fish “Superfishal fancy logo”.
Babycandy is designed to carry all the essentials when you need to go for a quick dash. It fits a drink bottle, spare t-shirt, wallet, phone and keys with room to spare for a Moleskin journal. It also features our quick access D-lock sleeve. It is the only bag in the series that is designed to be worn over the shoulder, or as a bum bag.
As always made from almost 100% recycled material for an unbeatable price.
Display and swap meet.
Next week I’m in Berlin for the biggest European streetfashion trade show Bread and Butter. My favourite brand Ontour is going to present their Spring Summer 2010 collection ‘Stranded Ontour’.
It’s that time of year again; when The Zoo opens its doors, considering itself careless, fancy free, and invites y’all in to break a sweat, kick the jams, and check out I Used To Skate Once 5.
Put on by the wonderful people from The Outpost ’skate once’ has become somewhat of a Brisbane institution, with each show becoming even more packed to the rafters and the artist list becoming bigger and better every time.
This year I Used To Skate Once is hosting the artwork of 56 artists, including Brett Chan, French, Stefan Marx, Elana Mullaly, Mark Drew, Jesse Olsen, Carmela Ruffino, and a whole swagger of even more local talent; this years installment is sure to be a killer. It’ll be like walking into Waking Life, though with a little less of Ethan Hawke post-Reality Bites, and probably not as full of rambling dialogue. Not only do you have all those amazing decks to hang your eyes from, but Kirin.J.Callinan, Secret Birds, Stemford Hiss and Doom Doom will be sating any aural desires you may have on the night. Don’t be shy and head up to The Zoo next thursday night to taste Brisbane’s own version of Beautiful Losers.
