Rossin is an Italian classic bicycle manufacturer founded in 1974. The project involved Mario Rossin and other four partners. Before starting his own enterprise, Mario Rossin worked for years as frame builder at Colnago. Rossin built plenty of unique road bicycles made of Colmbus steel tubes and equipped with Campagnolo group sets. The most famous models were Record, Super Record, Laser Aerodynamics and Ghibli
Rossin and the competitions
In 1981 Rossin started sponsoring the professional Belgian racing team Daf Trucks, led by Roger De Vlaeminck. In 1983 Rossin provided his track bikes both to the Russian and American national track teams. The bikes were equipped with the first model ever of disk wheels (launched by Rossin in the same year), horned handlebar and sloped upper-tube frame. Those bikes had been produced under the name Rossin Futura CX. In 1993 Rossin bikes were ridden by Moreno Argentin, Mecair racing team leader. Riding a Rossin he won two stages at Giro d'Italia and donned the pink jersey for 9 days.
