Listen back to the Just Blaze takeover of Q-Tip’s Beats 1 radio show

As one of Roc-A-Fella’s in-house producers, the man from Paterson, New Jersey, had a hand in fashioning the sound of New York hip-hop in the early 2000s, emerging as one the era’s handful of ‘super producers’ alongside Timbaland and The Neptunes.

Just Blaze let the music speak for itself on this occasion with classics from his extensive back catalogue alongside special versions from his archive including Kanye West’s ‘Touch The Sky’ with Robert Glasper on keys, a Dipset remix of ‘I Really Mean It’ by Camron’, an alternate take of Usher’s ‘Throwback’, and a different version of Rick Ross’ ‘Lork Knows’ verse.

Also included was a Black Album version of Jay-Z’s ‘Early This Morning’ which Just Blaze had teased earlier in the week on Instagram. [Via Complex]
